New Ulm, Minnesota (May 28, 2024) – In response to the federal government's Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) discontinuing at the end of May, Nuvera is proud to announce the launch of its new Connect Assist Credit (CAC) program. This initiative aims to provide continued support for customers who are eligible for the Lifeline program, ensuring they maintain access to essential internet services.

As part of the CAC program, eligible customers can acquire internet services for less than $26 per month. To qualify for this program, customers must present proof of Lifeline qualification to Nuvera. If a customer is not Lifeline approved, apply at www.lifelinesupport.org. Once verified, Nuvera will offer an additional $10 per month Connect Assist Credit to their internet service. This credit applies exclusively to internet services.

"In today's world, the internet has become an essential service, much like water and electricity. The quality of life for many families depends on reliable internet," said Glenn Zerbe, President and CEO at Nuvera. "With the discontinuation of the ACP, we are committed to ensuring our customers continue to have access to affordable internet services through our new Connect Assist Credit program."
