Jared Cooley and Laura Hanks are set up to sell merchandise including custom created screen print designs made on the spot. The couple operate Main Street Salon and Apparel in Farmington and do shows most weekends. They love being a part of the music scene, especially when it supports a good cause. They said Wheat Trail organizers were amazing people to work with and were glad to support a good cause.

Cori Kennedy, a recent contestant on the television show, The Voice, is a native of the Dodge Center/Kasson area. Taking the stage she called out Goodhue and other area schools as places she played against in high school sports and pointed out relatives that came to the festival to watch her performance.

The long-awaited Wheat Trail Festival drew large crowds to the two-day event in rural Goodhue July 24th and 25th. The country setting worked perfectly for everything from parking to the main stage. Friday provided near-perfect weather for campers, spectators and performers. Noah Hicks and Dylan Scott headlined the evening entertainment. Overcast skies helped mitigate Saturday’s increasing temperatures. Many activities filled the day leading up to the show featuring Dodge County rising star, Cori Kennedy opening for Eddie Montgomery.
