On October 3rd, St. Luke’s congregation volunteers planted 17 trees between the church and County Highway 6. The Norway Spruce trees were purchased from Cannon Tree Farm using donations given in memory of loved ones. The Memorial Gove is intended to not only provide beauty and nature habitat, but a much needed wind break in the years to come.
According to a church member, “It was really special that so many people wanted to be a part of this Memorial Grove. We could have added more but we ran out of room in that location”. The trees are just one of the landscaping projects being planned on the new church property.
