Goodhue Living was originally opened and operated by Jaybird Senior Living until February 2026 when it became part of Elysian Senior Homes. Elysian is a privately held management company operating a growing number of senior housing communities. The company manages other nearby facilities in Red Wing, Lake City and Northfield with additional properties in Duluth and Chanhassen. The Goodhue Living name and motto: Rooted in Community, will not change. Although there have been some changes in staff, care services remain the same.
June 15th saw the return of seasonal car shows to the property grounds. The display is a great opportunity for residents to spend time outside while viewing classic cars and trucks, enjoying live music and socializing with friends. The shows are also a great way for visitors to interact with Goodhue Living residents and staff.
Big River Barbecue food truck will sell food at each monthly event. Chester Proctor provided music for the first show with Gary Froiland scheduled for July 13th, Mike (Rudy) Rudesill Music on August 10th and Kim Cote Music entertaining on September 14th. The September date will also celebrate the 4th anniversary of Goodhue Living. The Monday night gatherings run from 5-7 PM in front of the building.
Please mark your calendars and bring your classic cars and pickups!
