The Goodhue Chamber of Commerce meets the third Tuesday of every month at 9am. The meeting hosts rotate, giving the different businesses the opportunity to showcase their products, location, and anything else they'd like to share.
The Chamber membership drive started in Feb but membership is open all year long. The organization continues to grow and become more active. They recently sponsored the first new business ribbon cutting ceremony in town. Representatives of J Hill Promotions, Peters Insurance, Goodhue School, Q Media Group, Voth Insurance, Great Rivers Insurance, Workout 24/7, and Lana Huemann Realtor/Trust Realty showed their support April 4th at the Barrel Hut. Linda Eckhoff opened the general merchandise business last November and chose to join the local chamber.
Other chamber members are: Body and Soul Massage, St. Luke’s Church, Blooms on Broadway, Corner Bar and Grill, 2nd Street Pub, Goodhue Car Wash, Goodhue County Co-Op Electric, Goodhue Family Chiropractic, Goodhue Area Historical Society, Holy Trinity Church, Shear Enhancement, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Seed Plus LLC, News-Record, The Goodhue Depot, Buck’s Unlimited, Spring Green Lawn Care, Ag Partners, First Farmers’ and Merchants Bank, Goodhue Senior Living, Knobelsdorff Enterprises, and Lodermeier’s Inc.
In addition to ribbon cutting ceremonies, the chamber is working to add after-hours events. Businesses can host an event and encourage other business and community members to come and mingle. They are also currently working on the Farmers Market for the summer and promoting the May 15-17th city wide garage sales.
The chamber provides scholarships for the Miss Goodhue Princesses, sponsors the Christmas light contest and tour of homes plus much more.
