Community Help Network Delivers Meals

Posted

The Community Help Network (CHN) began with Nancy Dahling organizing a Thanksgiving Basket project. That effort has grown to reach over 100 recipients each of the past several years and become a fully formed 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Volunteers once again gathered donations and packed boxes with complete Thanksgiving meals. Youth from Grace, St. John’s and St. Peter’s WELS Lutheran churches provided much of the labor while many local businesses and individuals fund the needed supplies through the CHN.

The mission statement of the Community Help Network is “To provide immediate support to local community members by providing groceries and meals, plus benevolent support in a crisis or as deemed necessary”.

In addition to the Thanksgiving baskets, the CHN provides Christmas goodie baskets to the Goodhue Living Community, and support for those fighting cancer or other medical issues. If you or someone you know is in need, or to donate, please contact Nancy at 715-216-6058 or email: nancydahling@gmail.com.
